Why Choose Jordan Mattress & Home?

“You should always invest in good shoes, good tires, and a good mattress”

Buddy Jordan, Founder of Jordan Mattress, 1958

For over six decades, three generations of the Jordan family have been doing something rare in today’s world: handcrafting every mattress we sell right here in Arkansas. When you buy from us, you’re not just getting a mattress – you’re getting factory-direct pricing that saves you 40-60% compared to big-box stores, 12 handcrafted comfort levels to choose from, and a relationship with the people who actually make your bed. Our legacy is not only in the products we make but in the lasting trust we have built with the families we serve.

What makes us different? We cut out the middleman. Our mattresses go from our factory floor to your bedroom, which means better quality at better prices. You can talk directly with our craftspeople, request custom sizes for RVs or antique beds, and choose from 12 different comfort levels – not just soft, medium, or firm. Plus, we complement our handcrafted mattresses with American-made upholstered furniture and bedroom sets, making us your one-stop shop for quality sleep.

We’re not a mattress store that buys from manufacturers. We are the manufacturers – and that makes all the difference.

1958

A Family Beginning

Buddy Jordan and his wife, Naomi, open Jordan Mattress out of their garage on Forbing Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. Starting small, they build beside their home to accommodate the growing business and even installed a bell to ring inside the house whenever a customer arrived. Their commitment to quality craftsmanship quickly spreads by word of mouth, allowing them to raise three children while building a trusted family business.

1980

A New Generation in Hot Springs

Robin L. Jordan, Jr., together with his brother Gary, brings the family business to Hot Springs, Arkansas, establishing Jordan Brothers Bedding, Inc. Their father, Buddy (Robin Sr.), works alongside them, passing down his craftsmanship and teaching them how to build mattresses with the same trusted quality that earned the family its reputation.

1988

Growing the Family Business

Robin marries Shanna, who joins him in running the business while his brother Gary moves on to pursue other interests. Together, Robin and Shanna expand the mattress line with more styles, and Shanna takes on bookkeeping and marketing, helping the company grow into its next chapter.

2003

Expanding Into Home Furnishings

The company shortens its name from Jordan Brothers Bedding to simply Jordan Bedding, reflecting its strong identity as a trusted family brand. That same year, the business broadens beyond mattresses to include a Furniture Gallery with  American-made furniture, featuring Best Home Furnishings recliners, chairs, and sofas, along with Vaughan-Bassett bedroom furniture.

2015

A Third Generation Steps In

Ryan and Rachel Callender join Jordan Bedding, proudly carrying on the family tradition as the third generation. With a passion for quality and a commitment to community, they continue building on the foundation laid by Buddy, Robin, and Shanna, ensuring the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship lives on.

2023

Celebrating 65 Years of Craftsmanship

Jordan Bedding marks 65 years in business, proudly serving Arkansas families since 1958. Today, the third generation continues the tradition with 12 comfort levels of handcrafted,  mattresses, custom sizes for RVs, houseboats, and antique beds, and a full line of American-made furniture. With a focus on quality, value, and community, Jordan Bedding remains true to its heritage while looking toward the future.

2026

Jordan Mattress & Home

The family goes back to the name Buddy chose in 1958. Jordan Bedding & Furniture Gallery becomes Jordan Mattress & Home: the same family, the same building on Malvern Road, and the same handcrafted mattresses, with a name that says what we make and the American-made furniture we sell alongside it.
