Real rooms, honest finds, and the slow art of making a house feel like yours — from a family that’s been helping people sleep and settle in since 1958.
The Jordans have been handcrafting mattresses in Arkansas since 1958. I married into the family in 1988. Rob and I raised our two children, Cameron and Rachel, right here, and these days Rachel and her husband Ryan work alongside us in the business. Rob and I love to make our home comfortable and inviting. We have built, remodeled, and flipped many homes during our marriage. Reimagining spaces is one of our favorite things to do.
This is where I share that story: not the showroom, but my own home. Follow along as we show you some of the changes we have made and things that we have learned to love or regret.
No perfectly staged, untouchable rooms here. Just real spaces, honest opinions, what things actually cost, and the occasional lesson I learned the hard way. Pull up a chair.

The pieces I build rooms around — our own mattresses and the furniture lines we carry — plus the rugs, lighting & finishing touches I source everywhere else. All linked.
Creating comfortable, functional spaces through furniture, mattresses, lighting, and thoughtful design
Jordan Home Journal is the personal side of Jordan Mattress & Home — our family’s factory-direct mattress and furniture store in Hot Springs, Arkansas, handcrafting mattresses since 1958. We handcraft our own mattresses and carry living-room and bedroom furniture from makers we trust, like Best Home Furnishings and Vaughan-Bassett. So when I share a piece here, it’s because I live with it in my own home — not because someone paid me to.
